Students will learn creative techniques through the usage of songs, poems, plays and short stories to learn how to write creatively. Depending on the child’s interests, the student can focus on different genres of their choice with guidance, such as sci-fi, comedy, nonfiction, among others. They will be able to think critically through writing, read their work with confidence and be able to speak and discuss their work in a group environment.

Jacqueline Jiang: Jacqueline Jiang has a Bachelor’s degree in American Literature and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Caribbean Literature at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras. She writes poems, essays and short stories and is a poet mentor for Poetry Out Loud, where she works with high school students to recite poetry in different schools throughout the island.
